$uper-hubs: The Financial Networks that Rule the World
$uper-hubs examines how the world’s most powerful executives rule the world and our lives with their extensive, influential personal networks.
$uper-hubs zeroes in on the elite, who pull the levers of the financial world and are the best connected nodes in this system: The „super-hubs“, and their powerful networks. It introduces the main protagonists like Jamie Dimon, CEO of J.P. Morgan, Larry Fink, Chairman and CEO of Blackrock, the largest, multi-trillion asset management company in the world, and billionaire hedge fund titan, George Soros, who influence industries, jobs, currencies, commodities, food prices, and much more. With their network power they have shaped history, are transforming the world we live in, and determine the future of our financial system, economy, and society. The book superimposes network theory on the financial systems’ structure to facilitate understanding.
$uper-hubs provides an intimate glimpse into the world of the financial elite and takes you behind the scenes to their exclusive invitation-only platforms: The World Economic Forum in Davos, the meetings of the International Monetary Fund, their think-tank gatherings, charity events, and private parties. The narratives paint a picture of the human beings behind global institutions, trillions of capital, and big macroeconomic events. The author’s personal anecdotes draw the curtain on their relationships and their rarefied world of power, luxury and privilege.
Analyzing the financial system through the lens of network science with a focus on the connected elite with the most influence, can help us better understand its pitfalls and advocate for changes that would make the system more equitable and stable.
